He is known for using recycled, everyday objects and African textiles in his artwork to blend European and African cultures.

Dr. Seck’s art represents unity, dialogue, and intercultural connection. He is a multidisciplinary artist, painter, a sculptor and a transmitter of knowledge.

His work is deeply rooted in the essential values of African content. The materials he uses—textiles, metals, wood, cardboard, and various other items recovered from his immediate environment—carry symbolic meaning. They embody both fragmentation and union, reminding us that beauty and strength often emerge from the blending, assembly of fragments, intercultural exchange, and heritage. The artist’s paintings, with their vibrant and bright colors on fragments of textiles connected to one another, extend this reflection. Each recovered fabric tells a story, a past, a distinct cultural identity, while contributing to a collective work that expresses the desire for unity and change.

He is also the author of several books, lecturing and articles or essays. READ MORE HERE

Fashion & Fabric Showcase

Discover the beauty and diversity of African fashion through colorful textiles, traditional fabrics, modern designs, handcrafted garments, and wearable art.
