First of all, we are all excited to share that there is much going on behind the scenes as we are getting ready for this event! Tickets are on sale now. <\/strong>We are able to keep them at an affordable price of just $45 for the entire weekend.<\/a> There will be two additional ticketed events announced soon but overall, you will have access to films, art, music, meetups, and will be gifted a voucher to try some food from around the district. There is no other value like this around! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For opening night, we have a speical screening that you can read about here<\/a>. Limited tickets available. <\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Selections have been made <\/strong>and notifications are going out now across the globe! We had over 40 qualifiying projects in consideration from 21 countries, in 18 different languages! We also had 13 student projects and 11 first-time filmmakers. In total, we watched nearly 18 hours of cinema.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Diasporic FilmHub Village & The House of Africa art exhibition – We are thrilled to add two new concepts this year. We heard your feedback last year and are bringing things closer in. Some out of town guests wanted to explore what Aurora had to offer but didn’t know where to go. They enjoyed food at Mango House and the art in the district but there was so much to see and such little time. We decided to help you out and keep things within walking distance as we activate our “village” withing the local arts district. Besides a film schedule, we will also have a schedule of other offerings where you can visit other “huts” or local busniess or establishments and expeirence music, art, meetup, get local food from across the globe and more. The House of Africa will also serve as a pop-up art house of African Diasporic art celebrating visual to performance art during the weekend. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We will end the festival with a FREE community concert in the most diverse neighborhood in all of Colorado! More details to come. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
